Look what I've just sold

Embroiderers Guild Regional Day

Last Saturday was spent with good friends Marie and Dominique at the Eastern Regional Embroiderers Day. We didn't have far to go as it was at the John Innes Centre Norwich.
Michael Brennand Wood's do you see what I see. The base is made up of toy soldiers painted white.
As usual there was lots of tempting embroidery books and goodies on sale. The morning lecture was by Michael Brennand Wood I had seen a couple of his pieces before but didn't realise that what looked like beautifully crafted flowers and symbols were actually skulls and war like symbols.

Dandelions at The Forum

Last week was a busy one for me.
DesignTwentyTwelve had it's first ever Exhibition at Norwich's Forum. We set up on the Wednesday evening. Here I am trying to get to grips with the hanging system provided. The staff were brilliant and everything we needed was provided as part of the package.

As you can see I was also promoting the Open Studios and our next  two Aldborough Creative events, I even had room for some of Claire's papercuts which were greatly admired. It was a very busy place, a great place to meet people, we were even visited by a dinosaur on the Thursday which was part of the Norwich Festival.
